- Rich's writeup : This fish is from a local water. Kevin Maddocks wrote about it in carp fever, but when I was fishing it, it was a nature reserve and no fishing was allowed but quite a few people use to poach it. This fish gave me the best fight I have ever had. It took me at least 30mins to land it and then it slapped me across the face. The lake has been taken over now by Brian Garner and he has got a 20 man syndicate on it, I thought about joining because it is a cracking looking water but decided not to and save myself £250.
