I use them on my PVA bag rigs cos I can never unpick the braid (large loop connection) when changing the hooklink so now simply have to change the hook once its outlived its natural life. Generally use them in conjunction with a D rig kicker and have also started using very short bungee rigs (over the braid) in solid bags and the connection on the klip end provides enough 'shoulder' to retain the bungee tubing in place

I bought a pack of hook klips to try. But they don't look strong enough for me to trust using them, I bought size medium.

What size kickers would you recommend to use with size 4 Muggas with Gemini low level ronnie tidy booms?

I use korda curves in size 4 mate. Took me a while to find a decent kicker for them and those nash ones are perfect, i use the medium size kickers, they are for size 5-7 but they fit perfectly on a korda size 4 curve.

Thanks mate. Will have to give these a try then. What hooks are you using with them? I had been using Nash twisters in size 5, which I know have quite big eyes but not the biggest

I use the nash tunsten kickers with the hook clips. They have a wider bore and fit perfectly (with a size 4 hook).

Ive used these kickers since their release and for me, they are an absolute game changer. Used them on a trip in France where I was catching a lot of carp and to be able to change the hook quickly meant i wasnt faffing about having to tue up fresh or multiple rigs.

Love these hook clips for quick change hooks when using PVA sticks.

I didn't find I could get the hook to sit correctly using kickers & these hook clips so have had to go back to shrink tubing.

Ok thanks for that. Just the answer I needed. I'll persevere with the bank ones for now then

I use the korda large kickers exactly as you describe and although they are tight they do fit . It will also depend on the hooks you are using , some have bigger eyes than others .

Has anyone used the hook klips from korda? I've tied up a couple of rigs with them and knotted to the klip instead of hook. Plan was to use a hook bead and pre tied fake bait on a rig ring German rig style, allowing me to change the hook when needed. Whilst the kickers I've got do fit, they are really tight over the klip and hook eye. They are the bank tackle large ones. Are the korda, or any other ones a larger bore?
