Bumping up an old thread to see if there is an alternative to the old glm sausage oil or (preferably) the SSSI that Steve and Tris used to roll out there, maybe someone bought the recipes and doing small batches?

From memory Geoff's nearest available bait to sausage oil was malarkey but it's been a while and I could be wrong.

Seems the bait market has become flooded so would like to drop straight onto something familiar rather than going through multiple brands.

Made with fresh eggs a must though

Cheers

Him and Tristan rolled some nice bait. He did some nice work for me too, very consistent! Enjoy the retirement Steve

I real shame. Always rolled a decent bait in there and the smell when you walked in always made me want to get out fishing straight away!
It always surprised me that they didn’t push the online thing more. Facebook, YouTube etc. I suppose Steve always had his loyal customers and was happy enough producing and selling what he was. Very underrated tho. A lovely chap. I hope he enjoys his well earned retirement.

My mate uses Shoreline Baits and he was shocked when I told him, he called Steve this morning and he confirmed he is retiring so shutting up shop.

I have known Steve for 30years and its a well deserved rest for him, he will be able to go fishing more.

They’re a top bait company will be a shame to see them go.
Have they closed already as their website seems to be down? Hope to be able to place an order before they shut up shop.

That would indeed be a shame. Their Sausage Oil was the Laby house bait.
What few good fish the place has given me have come on it, other baits I tried were ineffective. Oh, well....
