I reckon this is the problem I had last week, lake is full of tiddlers. Maybe time to invest in to armamesh or similar. The s2 next to it worked though.

I’ve had a bit of problem with roach eating mine down to next to nothing a couple times, funny enough though it only happens in one peg in the lake I fish, every other swim it’s fine but this one after about 4/5 hrs it’s all but gone. I no it’s packs of small roach because I’ve watched them attacking it in the margins very strange it don’t happen elsewhere on the lake though

Crayfish seem to be well in to the gpb2s. Whittled my CCs down in a few hours!

I'm no bait expert but try leaving a couple on a widow sill for a day to dry out and harden a little bit more see if that helps.

Don’t think so. I was using the s2 cc on another rod at the same time & that came back ok.

I was using the balanced gpb2 last week for the first time and they came back in perfect after 24 hours so I'm guessing you had silvers or something nibbling them away

Can I ask - after a couple of hours in the water, my gbp2 balanced are coming back with a tiny bit left or totally missing, almost as if they are dissolving. Is this intentional? The s2 cc don’t do the same.

Shall I save the ones from my 16mm S3's and send them in when I need a top up?
What will they be worth? Will they end up as the same as old skool Solar tackle?

On a serious note I hope you get this rectified sooner rather than later but as you say, the CC's will be just as good if not better.

Unfortunately we have run into another 12mm cork ball problem. The 12mm cork balls which we use to roll the 16mm finished cork balls that we sell are again out of stock. This is becoming a real problem now.

Last year, the older man in Portugal who made all of the the cork balls for Siesta cork, and consequently UK carp angling, died from Covid. We were without 12mm cork balls for a period of time. They (Siesta) assured us that the problem was resolved, and that a new supplier had been sourced. Between us and the Tackle Box we could not source high quality CB's ourselves... It would seem that this gentleman who died, was THE cork ball producer.

They currently cannot source any 12mm cork balls. Any cork suppliers that I have contacted in Portugal over the past week (having a Brazilian missus and speaking Portuguese helps) who advertise that they retail cork balls, have mainly not even replied, those who have, are all out of any stock. I can see a point very soon, where we stop selling cork balls altogether. They are simply becoming too hard to obtain in great quantities, and also far too expensive when we can source them. We currently have 30,000 on back order from Siesta, but absolutely no idea when or if they will ever arrive.

10mm cork balls are no problem currently, so we can still supply 12mm finished cork balls. Who knows how long that will last though.

All customers up until the last few days who have any 16mm cork balls on an outstanding order with us have been contacted, we will be contacting newer orders over the next few days. All customers have been offered the crushed cork equivalents, or a refund. So far every single customer has requested the CC versions. We do not even sell that many cork balls anymore in reality, CC's outsell them at least 5 or 6-1 for us. They are a vastly superior pop up. If this situation does not get resolved soon, we will be removing all cork balls from our website and no longer selling them.

Siesta cork & tiles cannot even say when they will have anymore currently. This will filter through to the shops soon, who's manufacturers all use Siesta too. ESP, TA, Gardner etc, etc. 12mm cork balls have become very hard to obtain. If you make your own cork balls at home, stock up... Because very soon, you will not be able to purchase any I would imagine.

We have knocked up loads of red S3 crushed corks, in both 13mm & 16mm to cover all red S3 cork ball orders.
