Jonchery is a well run venue with some nice looking carp to be landed, the swims are strangely set out but you can see before you book through Angling Lines or Fishermens Holidays. Mark (Fishery manager) will impart current tactics on arrival brief, he lives on site so has up to date information as fishing conditions do change throughout the year.
The lake is fairly level with a few slightly deeper parts, however the carp show themselves a lot so you can see what line to bait up too, The carp do respond to bait and the lake pellet and particle work well combined with the lake boilies (all available on site), fruit flavoured baits work better than fish meal ones,
You can catch by casting but spodding/spombing seems to scare the fish away, rather than attract them a big bait boat is recommended (there are available to hire on site).
Local supermarkets can be found in Brienne le Chateaux (about 15 minutes}.
There is a food package available during your stay.
Swims (all doubles) are solid so a rod pod is recommended and you can drive to all swims to drop off your equipment
