In reply to Post #17 15mm pop ups brilliant. 10mm not as good and bottom baits really poor. For some reason they worked well with tigers.

One of only two baits I can remember using and failing to have a single bite on.

Just a little update,
I sent Mistral Baits a sample over to let them see the boilies in question.
They’re replacing the 5kg I bought, so obv something wasn’t just right!

In reply to Post #1 Still no word back from Mistral.
Has anyone used these within the last year?
Thankfully we have very few Crayfish in Northern Ireland and no red signal crayfish at all as far as I’m aware.

In reply to Post #10 I heard crays don't like that one, that bait has been going a few years

In reply to Post #12 Ahhh the rosehip isotonic, everyone using them abroad and catching then ditching them when back home.

In reply to Post #10 Not sure about crays but the poisson chat don’t like them, hence their popularity abroad back in the day

In reply to Post #10 They reckon so, thankfully in my neck of the woods there are not many waters with those dirty things in them
I didn’t realise they still made them, saying that I have never looked

In reply to Post #9 I think I read that they were particularly good in waters with Cray's in as the crayfish didn't like the rosehip flavour. Can't say that as fact as never tried the bait but I definitely remember reading it as was due to go on to a Cray infested water and was thinking of using these on the back of the feedback

In reply to Post #4 I remember is they tasted of soap!
They were a weird smell and taste, soapy
Put some fish on the bank in the day I will bet. I think they were renowned for being stashed in a lot of peoples carryalls

In reply to Post #6 Correct.

In reply to Post #6 Got two bottles of the Geoff kemp original when they flogged it all off a few years ago.
Seem to remember I saw it through a post on here

In reply to Post #5 Rosehip, back in the day was a great flavour, i think, and i stand corrected, that they changed it due to its availability

In reply to Post #4 I must give them a taste, what wine do you recommend pairing them with? 😆
The only thing I can say is that they smell like plasticine, nothing even close to the pop ups.
I must admit I never notice a difference in the scent of baits in different batches, sometimes the hardness and texture can vary though.

In reply to Post #1 It's quite possible the pop ups are more stronger smelling.
I had Rosehips when they first came out, they have probably changed over the years but the thing I remember is they tasted of soap!
I haven't got the taste receptors of a fish so I'm not saying there is nothing wrong with that but I do taste my baits and not come across that before.
A question for everyone. If you buy the same bait every time do you notice slight differences in batches?
