Dom: You have tweaked my interest. I have just ordered two packets of each size. I'll thank you later should, they prove as good as I think they will be!

Check out ‘advanced wide gapes’ on the website.

Just looked at them...They look very good, but not so sure if they are suitable for a 360 type of set up. Though maybe with a shrink tube hook shank extension, as per Harry Haskell.

Not all the hooks from JP, only the new wide gapes. Check out ‘advanced wide gapes’ on the website.

I haven’t used them, but that is definitely a fused eye.

I have been using JPrecision long shanks size 4 and 6 since 2017, and I cannot say with any certainty that the eyes on these hooks are completely closed. This is what I called a completely closed (fused) eye.

They are good hooks but don't buy straight from the packet. Let jprecision sharpen them as they aren't sharp enough..
I made the mistake of buying them from their partner website and stupidly thought they would be sharpened.
(advanced wide gapes)
The sharpened hooks are brilliant..

J Precision do a wide gape with a completely closed eye that can’t catch a landing net mesh.

Anyone old enough (cough) to remember the old school trick of solder blobbing a Partridge Low Water Salmon size 4?

Well, this can be adapted to solve the hook eye catching in the net issue on the 360.

Has anyone ever had success fishing the withy over weed? Or is it better on clear/cleaner spots?

Putting a piece of shrink tubing over the eye of the hook should eliminate the hook getting caught in the net.

Totally different rigs. You'll be fine using a withy rig

It isn’t a 360 rig mate

360 is basically a Ronnie but with the hook threaded through the swivel rather than the hook attached to a clip swivel

No idea how to add pictures on here but sure someone will be able to

Some people don’t like or ban the 360 as hook gets caught easily in net which might cause mouth damage

Hi all. So I am fishing a lake where the 360 rig is banned. I like to fish the withey pool for my pop ups. Is this classed as a 360.

Myself I don’t think so but some on the lake do.

Thanks
