In reply to Post #17 I thought the same until my kid got into it.
Been 6 or so years now.
The true skaters are all right. Look out for each other.
Because it hurts you can't blag it. They say
"You can't buy a trick with money"

Yates should be sponsored by some organic tea company.

Just watched the Adidas nature vid…
Yates as brilliant as ever

In reply to Post #17 Agree.
I follow Adidas (I have a thing for retro Adidas track tops) and Palace (I was as much a skater in my youth as I was an angler) and I was speechless when I came across this vid, I thought it was some kind of wind up. But the vid is genuinely great, really captures the essence of what Yates is all about.
What's more, it looks like we've finally found someone associated with angling that's guarded from criticism by the masses. I can't think of anyone else that wouldn't get slated by the angling community for something like this. Even Tel gets targeted nowadays! Like you say, refreshing.

In reply to Post #8 Just watched it and agree. Not a match I would ever have thought up but was nice to watch and the skateboarder was very polite and respectful, which is not what I tend to picture when I think skateboarder based on what I see and hear with most boarders going round the city. Refreshing

I believe Chris worked as an illustrator, I know he designed a lot of rock album covers. Interesting chap by all accounts and why not, life is finite

Now this could end up being an epic thread 😀
Let’s have your ideas for anglers paired up with none angling companies.
I will start. Jim Shelley and the London Brick Company.
|
|

Next up is Bob Nudd with a limited drop of Supreme flat caps.
Fair play to whoever got CY involved, it’s an interesting and imaginative cross over.

In reply to Post #1 Not what I was expecting from CY/Adidas/Palace but very relaxing and humble to watch.
There is lots more to explore in a life 'offline'

Weird setup.
Is that his house? Looks like it needs a clean and tidy up.

Is this the first fishing cross-over with a major sporting brand? If so, the media personalities in the angling world who spend their lives posting on social media must be fuming that a guy that can't even be bothered to get the internet fixed pipped them to the post .

Well this is defo the oddest partnership I've seen in a while. Sports giants Adidas have teamed up with UK underground skateboarding firm Palace and a certain Chris Yates to make a vid for their new range of apparel.
No, I'm not taking the piss
