His bait seems to do well in there as a lot of local lads use it, the Stench seemed the number one bait for years.

I did see a swim by swim review on the FB page which is helpful, assume that is the Lee Moore one

Do you know if it suffers from weed much? Just trying to figure out my approach with limited time to prepare

edit, that's it

Brilliant lakes and very well run, plenty of big fish in there too.

Lee Moore (Big Fish baits) done a swim by swim review which i will try and find.

With so many people asking about swims around the lake i figured this may help, this is just from what i know and have read/been told by others, at no point should info on the swims be taken as gospel as lets face it....water craft and sightings should set you on your way first and foremost.

1: Cabin, There is a water outlet pipe in the far left hand corner, fish can often be found in this area and do get caught from this area frequently, there are also plenty of over hanging trees along the left margin, these are worth targeting too.

2: Peg 2, With this peg you have the cut through just to your right, the majority of fish do tend to travel along the far margin so this would be the area to target as they travel up and down the spit.

3: The Lawn, With this swim your looking at the first of the cut through to the main lake, fish have no choice but come through the cut so baits presented either side of the cut just in the drop off should see action coming. Remember however to keep within the narrow section of the lake, casting through to the main bowl is not permitted.

4: The Island: This swim has access to the small island between the two cut through's and the right hand side opening again as before baits presented just off the drop off should see you well.

5: One Down, Again as the swims before the majority of the fish do tend to come from the far bank, you also have over hanging tree's to aim for too

6: Leylani, A very consistent swim, this swim gives plenty of options, far bank straight out in front, the far right hand corner also does plenty of fish, you also have your right hand side margin, an area ive seen plenty of fish but not so many people fish that edge (food for thought maybe) in this swim you do have the luxury of walking round to near where your fishing and feed accurately, be aware however not to go onto the spit as this is not allowed. This swim also has enough water and can be used as a double swim if required.

7: Reeds, This is a double swim and commands lots of water! you have so many areas to go at in this swim, you have your left hand corner, all along your left hand bank, which is pretty much completely tree lined, right up to an over hanging willow which does plenty of fish! out in open water its mainly silty with a few patches of gravel here and there, there is an area that is out towards the Lode swim at around 17/18 wraps that does also produce well, the right hand side of the swim has some pukka little spots less than 10 wraps out and shouldn't be ignored, just be aware if going left that you are not cutting the guy off in Kissing gate, a bit of common sense is all that needed however

8: Kissing Gate, In this swim you have a small bay to your left that the carp do enjoy getting into, always worth a rod! also when warm and the wind is blowing into your face or slightly into your right hand hand side towards summer bay the fish will get in there, its very shallow but don't be put off by this! out in front at around 12/13 wraps is also productive in the silt

9: Summer Bay, As the name suggested and 'ive already said, this is a lovely shallow area of the lake and if its warm and with a breeze blowing expect to find fish milling about!

10: Peg 10, This swim is a good ambush swim as the warmer weather heads in with fish making their way to summer bay, also if summer bay and kissing gate are empty, you have a lot of water to go at, 10/12 wraps at most should see you well and not interfere with other anglers.

11: The Bar, As the name suggests this swim has a very prominent bar that can be found, its not hard to find in the slightest, a rod on either side if the bar in the silt will normally do the trick here.

12: Bailiff Swim, Again this swim tends to get more than its fair share of water due to most people fishing the next swim keeping to the right, a rod straight out at 17 wraps and another aiming towards the hut that you can see behind the cabin swim at 14/15 wraps is a good starting point.

13: Snags, does this swim need an introduction? again so many areas to go at but.....you do not need to fish too tight to the snags, its just not needed as trust me the majority of the fish do not come tight from the snags, also fish safety must also play a major role in how this swim is fished, as i've said out in open water at a distance your happy to fish 10/18 wraps will put you on fish

14: Lodge, again a double swim, to your left you have a willow tree, a bait flicked just round that is often a safe bet, as is also only 8 wraps just past it aiming towards the bailiff swim, you also have a large silty area aiming towards the reeds swim at around 18 wraps, also a rod length

Anyone on here fished Coston Lakes near Norwich? A friend has booked us on for a few nights next week. Seen a few bits of info about the lake on FB but not anywhere else. Anyone with first hand experience of the place?
