Aside from the Solar chair (which I bought) I liked the Advanta one best.

My Mrs bought me a moon chair for my birthday and don't get me wrong, they are extremely comfy but as you say, the weigh a ton and are not fun to lug around on a day session.

I'll do some research on the Advanta DPM recliner. I was hoping I could pick something decent up for under £100 though.

I have no experience of the JRC but do have the Nash moon chair, purchased on impulse very nice chair but weighs as much as a transit van, so rarely gets used, i have the Nash banklife chair, which again is heavy for what is meant to be a mobile chair. pretty much a carp version of a millets £10 chair but with carp tax. The best chair i had and still use is the Advanta DPM recliner, purchased the current one in the sale for £97. The first on of these i had i sold n marketplace for £40 when i got the moon chair. but after dragging the moon chair along the bank i bought another Advanta. you cant beat them for the money

I have one, still using it but not one of my better investments. Lightweight chair, but if I am honest thats the only good point. Not sure how to explain but the stitching at the front of the chair where it connects to the chair (back of your knees?) has parted on both sides and even before this happened there is only a few inches of this where it attatches to the chair it just keeps popping off, won't stay on for long, keep having to get up and reattatch it. The legs click into place, but dont hold there if you dont keep an eye on it, can fold under if you arent careful. There isn't much padding as such but thats only fair as it is a cheap chair. Thinking about it, I have quite a bit of jrc gear and this is the only item that isnt great.

Don't want to drag up an old post but did you end up getting one of these? I'm currently using a Nash Indulgence Half Moon chair but they are too big and bulky to be lugging around the bank for an overnight/day session.

Interested in the replies to this....I sat in a few chairs at the local Angling Direct and have to say that I found their own Advanta Relaxa chair to be most comfortable.

In the market for a new session chair and seen the JRC Defender armchair, very reasonable price at around £50 and lightweight at just over 5k....looks to tick a lot of boxes.

Anyone have one or experienced one? Don't want to "buy cheap buy twice"....although JRC have had a pretty good reputation over the years for beds...
