In reply to Post #27 Yeah i really respect korda that they actually tell you they used the drone, or the owner/bailiff tipped them off where to fish.

In reply to Post #24 Probably explains why they move swims so often. At least they don't claim to have been up all night listening for fish lunking.

In reply to Post #1 Are you people actually surprised?
There are anglers putting hormones into the ecosystem...

In reply to Post #22 My guess is that it's kind of dictated by the cameras. For a good film they really want a big hit of fish, so they are going to take the risk and fish "big hit style" it may be a big risk, but when it plays off it makes for a better video than nicking a bite early on and then nothing else happening.
Thing that stands out to me is the drone footage. It's amazing really, takes 90% of the guess work out.

Slightly off topic, but I have just watched this this film and couldn’t help but think how one track minded session angling makes people. Dan turned up in a swim with fish present, and rather than fish it like a short session angler to get a fish under his belt quickly, he leaded the F out of it and then put 20 spods out. Surprisingly the fish pretty much did the off. I was cringing watching it!

In reply to Post #20 That’s fair, I just assumed it was one of them tapered jobbies, have been watching fox vids as well so probably got them mixed up

In reply to Post #17 I imagine it was but it still makes no difference whether the sinker is put on the line before or after the bead. The bead will pass over the sinker in any direction

In reply to Post #18 I have asked the question politely on you tube no - reply !

In reply to Post #4 Ive always thought this was a pointless and dangerous use of a leadclip. Fairbrass has been doing this for years and i still cant wrap my head around it. If he wants to use a running rig, just have a lead running on the line for gawd sake.

In reply to Post #13 I assumed they were using them beads that go from a big bore to a small bore.

In reply to Post #11 Yes spot on the other one they show it with is with the "runnin lead clip" and rubber inserted into tubing so now they have a length of small diameter tubing tail rubber and lead clip for any trailing line to pass.
It really is stupid for them to show this type of set up especially when they sell run rig beads and large diameter swivels made for the job

In reply to Post #7 As has been said elsewhere in this thread, Yes it is a whole lot more dangerous.
A lead clip will not pass over a leader knot or breakage where a large diameter run ring will.
The lead MUST be ejected to make it safe; when it is running, the tail rubber will not slide off and eject the lead. Because the run ring can slide over the knot, that is able to eject the lead.
