In reply to Post #7 Horseshoe would be ideal, great facilities with toilets & showers, plus a co-op just down the road and lots of places to get food from in Lechlade.

In reply to Post #3 I'm from the Fylde and Wyre area. It is a nice fishery, I've done a few sessions there in the past. I'm probably gonna do some pike fishing there this winter. Only downside is that the best lakes there are membership only.

Hello,
Me and my gf have some time off end of March. We are wanting to get away for a week but can't decide which lake. We'll travel to any part of the country. We'd like it to be a lake holding good number of specimen carp. And we want somewhere that is set in stunning landscape/locations. We don't want a lodge or cabin, and are happy in our bivvy. But we'd like there to be the basic facilities on site.
Let's have some suggestions guys, what's everyone's favourite lake to spend a week at in the UK?
Cheers.
