That’s how it should work but depends on the seller being properly set up to export outside the EU and into the UK. Otherwise you can pay VAT twice (VAT at point of sale plus import VAT) plus any tariff rate on the item.

There based in Germany mate shimano won't send over here in small quantities aparantly because of the prices for shipping
