Random one, does anyone know anything about the lake you can see from the balcony at Thurrock services? Looks a lovely water, with nicely made swims etc. I am just curious!

That is Arena Essex which was an amazing water in its day. Had a fish kill a good while back and was re-stocked. I would imagine it is probably back to where it was by now.
Not a lot of info about which is always a good thing in my experience.

Cheers. Looked a nice water, it's too far for me to consider fishing it, but I was intrigued. Cracking view from that balcony too, nobody fishing on a Friday night either
