Following up on this, how did you get on? Off there in 2 weeks. Anyone fished it recently?

I’m off to North Bank this weekend, any recent experiences of the place.

Not usually the type of fishing I do so any bell much appreciated.

All the far banks are clear bottom.
I fished swim 2, 12/14 wraps out its silk weed so used Chods and had another over by the willow to your left.
Swim 6 was very clear on the bottom throughout, you have big weed beds in front of you which you can see.. the far margin there offers a huge deep hole.
Swim 9 casting to the nearest margin was the hot spot but you had to be on your rods due to the old rushes underwater.
Swim 10 produced the biggest fish at just under 22lb, again casting to the clear far margins.

Weedy swims were 4,5,7

Again just lead and lead around and work your rigs accordingly

In a nutshell..
Lake is a lovely size but swims too spaced out for a group social, so you would have to go off in 2 groups.
Swims 1-4 are close and swims 6-10.
Plenty of weed across the whole lake but easily fishable with a good lead around, far margins clear and using Chods in the middle.
The lake does need work on!!! All the swims have jetty's but all under water (in July 😱 which is nice to have but getting your feet constantly wet was a pain! Lived in ridgemonkey shoes and flip flops lol.
In the end we had 13 fish between 6 of us doing 3 nights but lost 8 due to being weeded up straight away!
Nothing massive.. all between 12lb - 21lb

Personally I like the set up there but would probably give it a year or 2 to see what work there gonna do on it before going back

The baliff just contacted us that the lake maybe unfishable due to the huge weed growth!! Loads of eel weed apparently.
Still going but I'll post how we got on. Going on the 24th
