In reply to Post #47 . . .smuggling is all about timing . . .
and as for wearing the trousers - the first rule of fight club is - you don't talk about fight club . . .or in the words of my dad who has remained married for over 60yrs . . .'avoid hassle at all costs' . . . .

In reply to Post #46 Great review, but no mention of the big problem?
Smuggling the barrow under cover of the misses and how did you field test it without her knowledge.
Are you sure your dog won't grass you up ❓.
I look forward to reading pt2.
Nice one

In reply to Post #42 . . its 150W not that it really matters . . .I don't lug much gear anyway (my porterlite is perfect, albeit unpowered) so I'm hoping the small metro footprint and minimal bits to assemble are sufficient. I know a lot of the chat on the DIY page extols the virtues of 350W+ hub motors and bigger batteries etc but as far as I'm concerned that all equals more weight . . .which is fine if your rolling on and off a van but not assembling from scratch out of the boot of an estate . . .
I've got a 15-20min hump on my syndy and a steep hill from one of the carparks - will let you know if its underpowered / a lemon . . .

In reply to Post #39 I have a lifetime of experience Wayne in tackle to garage smuggling operations . . .the secret is being present at delivery - if I can shift the box into the garage quickly then once in and unboxed she's safe . . .a slight daubing of mud and hey presto its magically invisible like all the other green items in there . . . . . . .'I've had this for years, what an earth are you on about . .' Always works . . .

I checked the Nash power barrow out and the issues I have with it is a 100 w hub motor and 9aH batteries mine will be 3.5 times more powerful and last 50% longer.

In reply to Post #38 I’d be very interested in hearing how you get on with it. Been thinking about getting one since my back worsened last year.

In reply to Post #38 If she catches you it will be more than your knee that’s fooked.
I suggest getting up in the middle of the night and pretending that you hear an intruder. Tell her to wait upstairs just in case. Sneak the barrow into the garage. Tell her you reckon you scared them off. Result is Porter in garage and you are a hero. Win win

In reply to Post #35 . . . .oops. Impatience and 2x cancelled ski trips this year has meant a Nash Metro Power is winging its way to me . . .fooked my knee last month and my recent session was pain personified . . .well that's my excuse anyway
Once smuggled into the garage (hopefully without getting caught by she that must be obeyed) will provide honest real world feedback . . .fingers crossed . . !

In reply to Post #35 Has an inner tube. The general trend is to fit brackets that allow you to remove the wheel. Some are filling the tyre with repair tyre gear.

In reply to Post #34 Quick question about the Nash one - is the wheel solid or does it has an inner tube? Just a little concerned if the latter with punctures etc?
