I paid for mine too.

I choose to pay for all my tackle and bait these days, as I've previously mentioned. I am in the very fortunate position to be able to get whatever I want for trade. So I can choose from most baits on the market at a much cheaper price, with no need to be tied or beholden with anyone. I prefer it that way now. I'd rather pay.

I don't get Poacher for trade, as it's not sold in any shops. I have known Gavin since he was a very young kid, thirty years ago. He did give me a little discount, which I did not ask for.

I choose to pay more for this particular bait, because I want top notch. If cost was a big factor, I would rather use half the amount of a high quality bait, than something half the price, which is actually a quarter of the quality.

Like most things in life, it's actually a totally false sense of value.

No probs mate.

northamptonshire gravel pit mate

bit of a closed shop place, probably the best place ive ever fished, miss it dearly.

Motorbikes, renovations, family and business meant i had no time to fish, even worst now ive set another business up. hey ho, all in the planning for early retirement though

Fair play to you mate

Have you had much success air drying the SV1? Still prefer to short term air dry than use shelf life (although I'm aware that's not an option)

I was just curious. I googled SV fishing and was directed to 1000's of sites about a computer game called Stardew Valley. At that point my curiosity got the better of me and just had to ask

Unless it's a secret what's the name of the fishery.

no mate, i pay the same as everyone else.

I didn't used too, i used to get it free, but since Gary passed away, i felt uncomfortable getting things for free from a small business who is trying to do their best, so i waived my freebie, continue to use the range but insist on paying for it.

I'd hate to see a great little business struggle when i can well afford to pay for it.

Not everyone is a fortunate as others, but in the same term, everyone has always looked for a discount/deal without understanding the business costs and demands

It was actually your thread that made me have another look at the range. I’m sure it’s a decent bait, just a bit pokey! Might revisit it when the weather warms up.
