In reply to Post #1 You have to weigh up whether you would sit behind a windscreen at 70 MPH that had been repaired, bearing in mind you change hook link with a small nick in it.
I drove a van in london which was cracked by a stone causing a 6 inch crack and at the end of the 30 minute journey it was top to bottom of screen . I would change rather change than repair for peace of mind. Fortunately it was a works motor

In reply to Post #4 Heated front windscreen. Sounds like you've gone up in the world since you got rid of that tatty Corsa Mal.
I think Gavin Williamson is paying you too much

Yes I can get it done on my insurance for £75. I didn't think cracks could be done but was not 100% shore.

In reply to Post #1 Check your insurance mate. Chips / repairs are often free. Replacements sometimes with a small excess. I had to have mine replaced just before Christmas. £95 for a brand new heated windscreen.

Had my windscreen broken today. Got a big crack in it . I no that you can have some chips repaired. Bit my mate recons that cracks can be repaired rather than having a new windscreen. I didn't think a crack could be repaired anyone no if it can be repaired .?
