I asked him about it at the NAS several years ago as I found the new stuff limper and it was breaking every time I tightened a knot down, bloody annoying. Dave said it was something to do with the hardener in the coating being changed as the old one couldn't be made anymore due to new regs, shame as it was my fave in Gold!
