In reply to Post #1 Another vote for the eBay gortex army surplus gear. I have been using a pair for bait digging (Austrian green I think) for around eight years and they have stood up to that so carp fishing should be a piece of cake. I use flecktarn stuff on the bank.

they are superb built in braces have a zip fly access to your trouser pockets BREATHABLE heavy duty Gortex
