With only a few hours to go I finally made a decision and went with half Royal Marine and half Monster Red, both with added matching paste, balanced baits & flavour booster and a pot of Scent from Hell pop ups with the booster bottle, what was even better was paying via paypal using the 4 monthly payments with no interest, happy daze

Might just be the airball pop ups then that CC Moore's do that smell the same/ very similar to the Royal Marine?

I was humming of the Scent from Hell all day at work today after spraying some pop ups last night, surprised no one said anything, proper kicking up 😬

Not sure about that mate. I've used pacific tuna wafters as single baits last year and abroad and did well on them, but this RM is different, much more old skool hutchy monster crab. Can't get rid of the smell on my hands despite scrubbing them...lol

Well, a Royal Marine cork dust pop up update:

The pop up is still popped up. It's been going strong since the 26th of last month up until now...won't sink 👌

The smell is identical to CC Moore's Pacific Tuna and just a hint of the Scent from Hell.

Send them a massage mate and ask them for their thoughts, spoke to a few guys last week and they pointed me in the right direction. What liquids go with what boilies etc. I went for the Atlantic heat in the end and got the scent from hell pop ups and wafters. Very helpful anyway and answered all my questions 👍🏽

As for which flavour to use I was in the same boat as you - so that one you'll have to decide for yourself!

In terms of how fresh they are, I bought some Creamino shelflifes last July and am on the last 5 kilo bag.
I'll be honest and say they still smell and feel the same, they may have gone slightly harder but only just and can still break them up easily in my hand.

Cant comment on how the fish react as have had three day blanks this January and its not like the fish are feeding much anyway. I have ordered a load of shelf lifes for the coming season and would have confidence in using them in 6 months time.

Only my two pence worth but I recon they will be fine for for ages.

Only 3 days including today 5th before the 20% Discount Offer ends on Sunday 7th and I still cant decide which boilie to order, I liked what Simon Scott has to say about the Royal Marine, I also like the Monster red tank tests Ive seen on youtube, and thier quick acting qualities, maybe get them both.

Because Im a mobility challenged angler I dont do just days, I like to do a minimum of 72hrs or the effort to sort out all my gear is just not worth it, so I'm wondering when I'll/we will be able to go night fishing? and if the bait will still be at its best, or close to it, if I buy now but not able to use it for a few months?, Im guessing if I add liquids they will be fine, Ive never used Baitworks before whch is why Im asking, Ive used shelflife from other companies that are ok for a few months, I may of asked this question before but cant find it or remember, sorry if I have.

It’s the cork dust baits I’ve had problems with, the scent from heaven/hells were always fine.

Didn’t know they did cork balls?

A cork ball or cork dust pop up mate?

I think it’s the cork dust ones that people are slagging, personally I’ve not had an issue with the Atlantic heat ones, granted they are a different shade to the bait but a little spruce up with the booster liquid and a few drops of the hot oil and they are pumping out signals and have always been up the following day 👍

The little cork ball kits look spot on though.

Well, I've had a 15mm Royal Marine cork ball pop up tied up to a rig sitting under water for 24 hrs and it's exactly the same as it went in, super buoyant. Not the same as sitting in 20ft of water and the associated pressure, best I could do under the circumstances.

Maybe there were problems in the past or maybe super glugged DIY baits were sinking. All I know is these ones will do the trick nicely 👌

If I don't end up doing a Billingsgate on my place this year 🎣 with these baits, I'm ganna be well miffed

Used the ones listed from Baitworks, only as I had them for free.

All the BAF stuff is good, look at the descriptions all well written which helps pick a pre mixed liquid or powder or make your own, very easy and cheaper to do.

I've used the powders, dont really add much, probably best used in a stick mix.
The coating of boilies thing is pointless in my view more benefit in liquids both in the way boilies, pellets etc absorb them and how they dissipate in water.
You can buy the powders cheaper elsewhere too.

Go to British Aqua Feeds, twice as much at half the price, and you can mix and match your own.

Not used the Hell pop ups but have used the pineaphells since they were released. Had some good fish in really cold poor conditions and enough times fished against a different hookbait to mean they now are the first one that goes out.

Yeah, I've never bothered using their own wafters or pop ups, I make my own using cork balls and the paste which you can buy from the website.

Perfect, as you can customise them however you want. Baitworks only produce set sizes, I imagine to keep costs down.

cant decide royal marine or atlantic heat. Both my current waters have hoards of bream, and in the past, fishmeals have attracted them like flies to ****, although krill baits don't seem to do it for the bream.

Any suggestions?

If it helps, as a Baitworks user for the past 8/9 years I had the decision to make between Atlantic Heat & Monster Red, and Atlantic Heat was a whole lot more productive for me than MR was over a short testing period and is now my go to boilie.

Hello mate, honest answer is I don’t know. I only left a handful of bait out to defrost and have a play with/check in some water.

Straight out the bag it didnt appear overly soft, just once it’s been in the water for a while the solubility took over and it did start to soften up and let out all the food signals.

I would guess that it’ll be ok sticking unless you are trying to push it out a good whack then you might get some splitting. Maybe give the factory a call and see what they say about sticking it 👍

You wont go wrong using any of the baits and the hardest decision is which one to plump for.

The MR was my choice as i fish very short sessions and very soluble, and would not be far off a bait i would produce myself.

Hi mate, i'm intrested in using the Creamino alongside the Royal Marine. How do you think the baits would hold up getting sticked out? I stick the Royal Marine out with no issues as it is a firm bait.

Does anyone know if ts possible to split an order, I know different size is allowed in 5kg bags, but what about flavours, shelf life or frozen, for example a 30kg order split into 3 10kg , 10kg of shelflife 15mm RM, 10 kg frozen 18mm AH and 10kg 15mm shelflife MR?

I test a sample of every boilie I make or buy in a glass of water (for 12-48 hours normally) before fishing with them...its a very easy way to understand your bait a little bit more

You won’t smell the spice mate, but stick a bit in your mush and you’ll soon taste it. It’s got a real surprising kick to it... bloody moreish.

I haven’t fished in a while but I’ve been to the garage regularly for a mouthful of boilie and a lick of glug

I’ve just had 10kg of Creamino delivered. I wouldn’t say it has a lot of spice in it but I’ve not tasted it.

It’s a coarse bait, loaded with hemp, there was pieces of tiger in the ones I broke open to have a look. It smells sweet and creamy, almost scopex type smell. I have smelt it before but can’t put my finger on it.

It’s also very water soluble, I put some in a tub of cold water and they were very soft after 24 hours almost paste like and took very little to crush them. I imagine if you have bream in the lake or silvers they’ll be able to peck away at them after 12-18hours. So I suggest getting some boosted hard hookers or wafters which are also tougher.

The bait soak is very thick, it’ll possibly sit closely to the deck but I haven’t tested it. Also can’t imagine it soaks into the bait if that’s what you like to do.

Hopefully get a chance to see if the fish like it soon 👍

Wayne, did they do the split between the different flavours for the same price as you'd get for a bulk buy of say 150kg of Atlantic Heat? Oh, and did the postage work out nearly a fiver for your HGV load of bait

Odd that,
I use cork dust and flouro pops in Monster Red and both have been OK, to be fair I generally only leave out for 10-12hours but still buoyant and doing what they are supposed to.

Used Atlantic Heat in shelf-life the year before last and very effective it was too, positive feeding reaction from the fish whenever I used it even in winter.

https://fb.watch/30h238sXSZ/ Link to a video detailing the how’s and when’s here. (15 odd years on the forum and I still can’t fathom how to link anything )

The deal is running for 3 weeks as of yesterday and the discount is automatically applied while adding to your basket. The price you see is what you will pay. .

This is true, they offer this for collections from the unit.

Unquestionably very good baits with a proven track record. Use with confidence

How does someone get a deal price?, I just had a look and the price started at £7.95 per kilo and after I put in 20kilo it was still £7.95, even stayed the same at a hundred kilo, {not that I can afford any of it at the moment}, or have I got it all mixed up?

Exactly what many former customers have said. Red dye that probably comes from Holland, a very common replacement for robin red today. One is expensive and one is about a penny. Very soluble and fills the tank with red water.

You ever been to his unit? The original bait was garlic EO and maple, a cream palatant, Robin red, colour didn't leach out. Stuff now is full of red dye, doesn't smell or taste the same at all. Maybe some ingredients are not available now, dunno.... But it is quite a different bait, period.

Mmm... Used to be garlic and maple! Quite a different bait now to what it was. Still decent, though.

As noted a few times on the forum, Atlantic Heat is my absolute go to boilie, whenever & wherever I fish.

Could not recommend it highly enough.

Both proven baits. AH is a spicy fishmeal and the MR is a VERY red spicy, non-fishmeal type bait.

If the 20% offer is on for a while then it may be worth getting samples first?
