Blackthorn fishery in Shropshire might be worth a look, not been there but seen Ian Macmillan has spent a fair bit of time there recently and it looks pretty good.

You also have the cottages at Lakeside View near Cullompton though these are proper luxury accommodation and far from cheap. You get access to a 3 acre lake that can only be fished by residents of the 2 cottages

Stafford moor just had 2 big lodges next to there specimen lake beatties, they are more like mini houses very good, even the area outside the lodge has a fence running around it so no one can get into it apart from you, the legs outside are a nice big size aswell

Greg Ellis in his latest vid on YouTube stays at a fishery down in Devon with a lake side lodge with his mrs..The name escapes me right now. But it did look rather luxurious hot tub indoor barbie sleeps up to four and all the mod cons. Can even take your dog if you have one. And the stock in the lake is impressive aswell. Give it a watch.

Looking to take the family away early April or August now our holidays are cancelled.

Ideally want a lakeside lodge with a bit of comfort for the wife like hot tub etc.

Happy to travel about 3hrs from Kent if anyone has any suggestions please?
