This year I have had a lot of success on the Turbo German rig, so will continue with that for the near future

Seeing as you've already tied both up try one on each rod and see which you prefer 👍

I’ve never really used a turbo German, I’ve used D rigs a lot and that would be my preference due to their anti tangle properties.

KD rig is even easier to make. And excellent for either wafters or bottom baits. I tend to slide a stick mix of just crushed boilie to avoid tangles.

Wrong Title sorry. Should be D rig. Ok I'm pretty new to this rig tying lark hence my earlier thread in the rig section.

I tied up some IQ2 D rigs for a water where braid hook lengths aren't allowed. A bit fiddly to tie but I got there in the end.

I then watched a recent video of the Turbo German rig that mentioned the addittion of a quick change swivel that would enable me to once again tie some rigs up using IQ2.

Having done so I now look at the D rigs and the Turbo German rigs in my rig box and wonder do I really need the 2 different rigs?

They both appear to be ideal for fishing either wafter baits or bottom baits. The German rig is so much easier to tie and just looks right compared to the D.

Is there a sittuation where one rig would be better to use than the other or is it time to dispose of one rig and keep it simple?
