ok so that's another bit of information the membership person never told me......... i feel like a detective in Unsolved Murders on Netflix... why don't they have all this info on their site!!

let's also wait for the prices to go up massively next year as they realise the demand.... even though in this current time people are losing jobs and have even less money!

thanks for your info though

The night fishing situation on CAA is a bit of a lottery. You have to join before you know if you'll get a night ticket, all seems a bit "ass about face" to me.....

If you don't get a night ticket you're then stuck with a club membership that you may not want or use.......and out of pocket.

And you won't get a night ticket for the first year anyway.....

yep, the membership person doesn't give anything away on how it works.... like getting blood out of a stone!

been looking at CAPS and they have some decent looking waters, so maybe look at that if CAA is full

Chelmsford have some good waters, but im not the biggest fan of the way night tickets are done. I have one this year, doesnt mean ill get one next year as every year is a mad rush for them. The night tickets are split so they cover certain lakes, the popular one sold out in the first night this year, and last, but there were tickets on a couple of lakes left over after the existing member period had passed.

The Colchester equivalent of CAA is Colchester APS. Unfortunately they have also closed their books for this season due to the "Covid rush." However, WHEN (if) they do open up again night tickets should be available to all.

I've not been a member for a few years, but if I recall, if you are not a member this year and therefore will be a new member next year, you will not get first pick of the limited number if night tickets. So all the existing members get the option first and then you get what's left, if there is any left. When I joined, all I could get is a night ticket on a couple of less desirable venues.

I've never been a member, but maybe look at Billericay and District club

thanks mate, i'll definitely take a look... do you happen to know the equivalent of CAA in Colchester?

also, are you serious about not being able to get a night membership at CAA for first year? - i've been in communication with them and (albeit i did not ask specifically) they never mentioned this

Have a look at Colchester’s club aswell mate. I’m not a member but heard some good things.

Chelmsford has some decent waters, but you won’t be able to get a night ticket the first year, and when you do, getting one is a bit of a rat race, you need to be able to be online and have the money spare, when they release as once they have sold out that’s it. There are plenty of syndicates about if you do a bit of research and make a few calls
