In reply to Post #1 I personally think you can get away with pretty much any old rig when fishing over maggot. I used to make these little rigs with a fleck of foam with wrigglers tied on. It was a lot of hassle so I started doing the same with fake maggots (or little flecks of foam anyway). Still too much hassle so started using little pop ups. Always the same result which is lots of bites. When they get on the maggots they just hoover everything up imo, you don't need to be fussy with the rig.

In reply to Post #1 PVA bag lead (search ebay) and use as instructed with a tight bag of mags with bit of crumb.
Supple braid
kicker same colour as the mags
Smallest fire wire barbless hook I can get away with
1 maggot sandwiched between 2 fakes on the hook
hook on bottom of bag.
Outside box and deadly.
