Perfect, it’s it ok with a figure of 8 loop or do you tie directly to the swivel ?

Oh yeah, more than mate. I’ve never ever had an issue with the 20, just prefer the extra rigidity the 25 offers.

I've used 20lb Amnesia for years landing fish to over 30lb in weedy waters on size 4 Gardner Muggas and Solar 101's.

Check your knots and hooklink regularly, as if you do get a nick in it it can part.

How strong is the 20lb mate ? Strong enough to fish near snags on a lake with fish to high 20’s ?

20 or 25lb clear Amnesia. Bulletproof, just the right rigidity and it’s £5 odd for 50m. I’ve used it for years now and it’s never let me down. Prefer the 25lb and a size 4 after a bit of trial and error.

Also heard good things about the TA stuff.

Not a Fluorocarbon but thinking anglers think link is very good, use it in 30lb.

Used d rigs for the first time in France this summer and tied mine up with Gardner trik link (cheap as chips) some with size 4 curves and some with size 4 continental hooks both from deception angling and had great hook holds with both landing 15 fish upto 52lb without a single loss.

I've had some success this year using IQ2 with a choddy hook (I use Angling Iron ones). On the 'D' I use a micro swivel screw, and a Fox pop-up weight on the hooklink. That gives me flexibility for hookbait choice - pop-up, wafter or bottom bait, and I get some lovely hookholds.
