I mixed my Thinking Anglers & Korda putty together & it is much better than either on their own.softens nicely rolled in fingers but sets nice in cold water. Fine all year round as well. Wish I still had my Heavy metal from the 90s though! I dropped the bloody lump & it rolled into 8’ deep margins! As mentioned, the newer stuff is nothing like the original stuff Dave Chilton released back then (same that Magma liquid tungsten was never re-released as was a brilliant solution for pinning hooklinks down)

I've been using the rigworx one and find it really good. Really malleable and sticks well.👍

Each to their own I suppose, first bad thing I've heard about it, used most of the ones out there and by far the stickiest and heaviest I've used.

Kryston Heavy Metal for me, my pot has been going for years. A mate of mine has used the vast majority, and in the end he had half of my pot, as he felt nothing else compared. He said Korda and ESP were the worst in his opinion.

Don't think you can go far wrong with the Korda Dark Matter mate, it's heavy and does the job - in the depths of winter, run a flame under the tin for a few seconds....softens all the putty up and makes it workable.

Yet still the best on the market. Kryston be a country mile. Tried the Nash Gardner and Deception another of the Internet bought some more Kryston out of frustration and it was as good as my original stash. Put another few tubs and gave the other stuff to a pal.

I've found Heavy Metal to still be the best. Under no circumstances use the Gardner stuff... Its like glue and doesn't harden well at all.
