I waited 5 days for a few items I'd ordered and paid to join the yearly postal discount scheme. WhatsApp was absolutely useless, obviously different people every time replying. As I'd paid for free next day postage, I used them again and that took 3 days to be delivered despite them claiming it would be here on the stated next day.
To be fair to them though Angling Direct are no better, they emailed when item came back into stock, ordered (again next day delivery) , gave them a 3 days then messaged, item no longer available and took 5 days to refund!!

Sounds like this could be a new business model they are using for higher priced items? Bivvys, rods, reels etc label as pre order then once they get the money off the customer order the items and send out once received from supplier.

Not good for the customer as no one will know how long things will take to get delivered but makes good business sense not having to pay out thousands of pounds on high ticket item and be sat on them for however long.

Obviously the trade off with this business model is that you will just force your customers elsewhere 😂😂

I’d never purchase from TFT again. No number to contact them and you deal with about ten different people to get any sort of refund / stop them charging you twice for tge same order etc.

It got close to me visiting there warehouse and behaving regrettably.

Johnson Ross a thousand times better and run by proper anglers, most the TFT staff ( and I mean 95% if ever you’ve been to a show ) don’t fish.

Honestly next time I’m thinking of purchasing something and they eve remotely come into my thought process I’m going to sit anus first on a fence post to pay penance for my foolishness.

Just received more pop up adds from them so click the first two bivvies and get this in the little box, Please note - this is a pre-order item and will be sent as soon as we receive stock, of course you have to place the order and pay for it to get it sent to you whenever they receive it. How much customer cash are they sitting on and how many will get it all back if they go under.

Always get adds from them popping up advertising stuff they don't have, click on the item and it comes up in a small box, this is a pre order item, ask them how long till they actually have it in stock and they either lie or don't know. Another big on line seller I phone and asked if they had five items in stock and they said yes so I drive 48 miles to the shop. Have a mooch around and see for of the five items which total £450 so take them to the till, cashier is about to start ringing them up when I ask about the fifth item, oh no that's out of stock, sorry you told me it was in stock when I phoned which they deny. When I point out that I have driven said distance on the strength of the call they still deny ever getting the call so while I'm stood there dumbfounded they start ringing up the four items which I decide I will buy elsewhere.

I take all the positive comments I have made about this joke outfit back. They tell you a price for an item which is out of stock. The item is now due in stock in the next 2-3 weeks and they want more money for it.If I had paid the price originally quoted that would of been nearly 6months of them having over £750 of my money but no product. They quoted the same price again in January and never once mentioned the price quoted was due to a sale

Well I’ve learnt my lesson, never order from a shop without a phone line! It’s so easy for them to ignore emails and the like.

Quite a fee items missing from order that weren’t mentioned in back order, unfortunately couldn’t send parcel back that arrived this evening as couriers don’t hang around for you to open them. Not even a paper invoice inside which would usually have ticks on it where items are picked.

Feel like going into their shop and complaining at the til, hold up business they’ll listen then!

You mention Johnson Ross. I had an odd one over Christmas with Johnson saying it was sent and FedEx saying they still had to pick it up. FedEx had it all the time. A friend went to Johnson and picked up the bits, then two days later the item via FedEx delivered my original package. Mental.

Not saying that same has happened to you. Just an anecdotal, you know.

Unfortunately as these big online tackle dealers get bigger and bigger, and the small independents are slowly pushed out of business, this level of cr*p customer service will become the norm.
