This can happen with almost every bait. Krill meal varys in colour, robin red, SG60 , can all effect the bait but it’s still the same bait. Never worried about slight variations.

They even say as much on their website...

Due to the seasonal changes in colour and texture of the many natural products used within the base mixes a slight variation in colour of the finished baits is to be expected at times. This is a normal process and beyond our control but has no detriment to the effectiveness of the bait.

I can’t honestly say I have never noticed colour variations in anything from ABS or other leading manufacturers in the past when it comes to different batches of bait.

Very interesting point about nut/fish meals and eggs varying colour outcome. I’ve learnt something there

The stuff in my freezer is, as you put it, cell coloured

You will always get slight variation in colour with fish and nut meals. Even eggs can affect lighter coloured baits.

Should it vary in colour? One reason I pick and stick with a company and their bait is consistency!

Very pale, in my opinion anyway. This was Cell coloured, website makes it look a deep brown colour?

Just received my order of MC Nut from ABS. I have to say it looks quite different to what I expected it would/should look like based on their website picture and also other peoples comments about the bait

I should also add, it was completely fresh and yet to be frozen, would the appearance change much once frozen and then air dried for use?

Cheers Lads

I couldn't buy a take on that I bait one winter a few years back. fished on spots id done well on before. changed over to Blakes snowberry and caught well from then on. I couldn't pick up any smell from the I bait at all. No idea if something was amiss with my batch for some reason but I lost confidence with it.
