How are you getting on mate?

I was just about to start a new thread about the venue when I came across this one. Does anyone know how the venue has historically fished in the colder months (Jan/ Feb)? Thinking of a social booking with some friends.

Well doing a good job blanking but weathers turning here for sure as wind picking up and getting colder for sure!

Been having fun with crays too!

Uncle had a 23 out and lad near island had a 23 near same time too!

I’m in peg 3 traps set all can do is wait and see first thing if any around peg 1 before packing to leave at 9-30

Nice place tho

Forgot to ask, would I get away using bank sticks or would I need to bring my pod?

Hoping the rain soften the ground by now ☺️

Up to Burghfield Common you have a Tesco Express, Co Op, Nisa and a bakery there is also an Esso with a Spar although only a small one. Head the other way towards Reading up the Burghfield Road on the A4 there is an Aldi and Lidl ( next door to each other) and another Esso with a decent Tesco's. Blue pool is about the same time to each of them.

Next to the Co Op is a take away pizza shop that will take phone orders for collection they don't do delivery.

The Bridge cafe opposite the Cunning Man pub not so sure it's still open. The Mortimer Cafe is not far about 5 mins by car.

Anyone know of a good cafe for breakfast near the lake, fishing 3 nights next week. Fished it a few years back and found a good cafe but forgot the name, thanks.
