Town Water and Parsonage Farm
This is a one and a half mile stretch of the River Avon running from within the Salisbury City boundary taking you up stream into the countryside. This is an excellent fishery with Coarse and Game fishing available on both banks; it is noted for specimen Roach and Dace but also holds good heads of Grayling, Chub, Pike and Brown Trout. There is a very good chance of catching a Roach above the magical 2lb mark from this fishery.
The Parsonage Farm stretch is Club fishing only but day tickets are available for the Town Water (over 1 mile with fishing on both banks) from:
GT Bait & Tackle, Unit 8a, Glenmore Business Park, Telford Road, Salisbury SP2 7GL. Tel: 01722 333097

I have a couple of days camping just north of Salisbury (Figheldean). From what I can see it is mainly trout fishing there. Does anyone know of any nice stretches near from there where I can get a road out for roach, chub, dace etc? A day ticket stretch suited to some float fishing with maggots would be nice. Many thanks!
