In reply to Post #48 All a bit emotive but people will have differing opinions i suppose. Think the guy was saying that theoretically you could get in your van on the drive and not get out until you got to the lake via eurotunnel, fish a week in a single swim and get back in the van and return home. Opinions will define if that's right, wrong, safe etc but it's an individual's choice i guess.

In reply to Post #45 It's not safer abroad is it, because theeir cases are increasing, ares are relatively under control, as a direct result of measures like this.... We have an issue in this country of selfish entitled people who will look to pick holes in everything just fir the sake of it and just for themselves, regardless of the bigger pictures

In reply to Post #44 If the cap fits.. lol..
So you’re telling me that fishing abroad around a lake isolated with very few people is worse than people visiting beaches, parks, pubs or FISHING in the U.K..
If you’re of that opinion then I guess we should all go back in to lockdown and stop fishing in the U.K. as well..
Get a grip.. I’m more at risk in this country than sat at a lake with my wife in another..
That “my son” was the best waste of time on a response I’ve ever seen

In reply to Post #43 It beggars belief that folk want to fish at any cost ...I'd also hazard a guess that 40-50% of us that go abroad fishing shouldn't of bothered in the first place ,folk saying I'm going regardless ect ....you my son are part of the bigger problem ...if the cap fits wear it ...

we were originally classed as key workers with immunity to self isolation but two work colleagues were already in spain 2 weeks ago before the uk announced the latest self isolation rules for spain yet they were made to self isolate for 2 weeks, our company paid them because the self isolation period wasn't in place before the flights were booked but they had to take it as sick.
id imagine france would now be treated the same with very few being exempt from the latest self isolation rules

In reply to Post #41 I think the only thing that will stop people travelling to France is if they insist on us having to prove at the border that it’s essential travel , apart from that I think it’s go to France as normal , come home and do your 14 days

In reply to Post #40 If France make us quarantine for 14 days what happens when people start to turn up to get home after only 7 days

In reply to Post #31 Buzzman.......yes you are correct and i don't know but considering it was voluntary durung a full lockdown i think it's safe to assume it would be the same with the reclrical action if there is any. Either way we're out there for 15 days in total so matters not
