In the right hands with 3 1/4 140 yards is possible and in 3 1/4 you still have a nice fish playing rod

Had the 3 1/4s sold them to buy century ng's and regretted selling them, the e class had loads more back bone then the century's

In reply to Post #3 i've a set of e class golds 3 n quarters , good rod , a little undergunned with pva bags , but I can smack a lead good distances with em , decent playing action too

In reply to Post #2 I have a set of the original E class 3 3/4 rods that are now 10 years old. They're excellent and have stood the test of time!

Hi gents,
One of me mates is looking at the eclass rods, does anybody have experience with different models of them? Talking to him about distance capability and sacrifice of playing action, there seems to be a sweet spot in every rod range - does anybody know it for the e class?
