In reply to Post #4 I think children are allowed at barley pool. When I left there was a father and son who had booked the lake for a few days. Ultimately you have the place to yourself which is nice
If you have your back to the lodge the little bay to your right is always a sure bet for a bite or two. Simple rigs, small baits and little bags or sticks and you’ll have bites.
If you have two or three anglers on there I think it works out quite well...£30 per 24 hours split between 3 which is great when you have it to yourself!

In reply to Post #3 Cheers mate. Just looking at various options of easier lakes to take my son. Just got back from Seymours lake which is lovely, but quite challenging and difficult to concentrate on being a parent and giving the water the attention it required and only ended up with a couple of the smaller carp with much more joy with the rudd. Do you know if children are allowed as the website isn't clear, their email is not working and struggling to get through to them on the phone to check

In reply to Post #2 Small intimate water, big enough for 2 or 3 anglers fishing close in. The log cabin isn’t all that...but useful to store your luggage in if it’s wet outside. Carp can be had off the rod tip. Mostly doubles. Nice lookers, not particularly difficult. Pink works well
