When wasn't it boring? The pictures they use are always underexposed or of poor quality, many of the writers are frankly just trying to push the tackle or bait company that sponsor them. I've only ever had a copy when someone has given me it and the only use I had was to wipe my arse with it. It;s worse than Total Carp and that's is saying something... a magazine that spends most of its time publishing utter crap, has writers who frankly havec caught ess than my 12 year old and I love their reviews - everything is brilliant, five stars! If only - I suppose when you get given gear to test they feel obliged to say how good it is. Either way, it's just laughable. About the only magazine still worth buying is Carp World and that can be 50% adverts these days. Such a shame, but I guess with everything you want to know and more being online, then these magazines always had an ever reducing appeal.

For everyone looking for a decent quality magazine, not 100% carp but with some excellent diversity take a look at Catch Cult.

A proper read for proper anglers IMHO

I tend to read Big Carp and Freeline on line now, both completely free and out monthly

Carpworld started of as a quarterly publication if I remember correctly?
I didn't think that there was enough quality material for even that to be monthly.

10000% agree - rumour has it Gaz is working on a a forgotten chapters II, what a blast the original was - particularly enjoyed the Dark Park chapter from James Turner & the sheepwalk fish.

Could be some real mileage in that, catch up with peoples campaigns and something to look forward to instead of the regular churned out paper rolls packed with the same old, same old

Agree I would certainly buy a decent quarterly magazine - something worth keeping.

Some of the content is interesting as mentioned Simon Scott, Penning but there’s only so many faux “reviews” and adverts I can take especially at £5 plus. It’s a shame as I still think there’s a market for a top quality magazine on the lines of Carpworld, Big Carp, Carp Fisher and the Carp Catcher maybe quarterly with a Carp Talk type section for notable captures. Subsurface and likes proved it’s possible. Producing such a title as a collectible “coffee table book “ on quality print could command a higher price with more story and experience based articles rather than bait and tackle plugs and yet another article on how xyz ties a solid bag rig!!!!🙄
