Hi WT on days only initially .The night syndi is still running, think you are required to do two seasons before eligibility is considered. Some funny folks on there ,not to mention a punisher from hell.......

Tring, boxmoor?

Steer clear of kings Langley. Lovely looking lake but the fish are often moved from the match lake and are absolutely destroyed

Hook is a cracking little lake, stunning setting, well run, really secure and a pub at the top of the hill for a bit of dinner and a couple of beers

Club books might be a bit thin on the ground at the moment. I know that luton and Leighton buzzards allocations for the whole year sold out during lockdown. Not sure about Verulam angling club. I fished small ford years ago and it was okay for a club water.

Failing that you aren’t exactly far from the colne valley. There’s a few clubs there that are fairly open access.

There is Croxley Hall and Hook.

I've always quite like the look of Hook Lake, but the run a daft sign up process - you have to apply on a certain day, at a certain time - then hope there is a space place. Not entirely helpful - but I suppose it weeds out those with genuine interest.
