In reply to Post #119 Most of them had trousers on at (start of) the Tory Xmas do so I’m told
It comes as no surprise that the ****s told not to go to the beach also left rubbish in their wake. As I said on another thread, most English people are ****s; it’s just a matter of scratching the surface a little and true colours always come out.
There’s a park near me that have served beers and food right through most of lockdown, some loophole they’ve found. The place is awash with plastic pints, torn Rizla packs and DISPOSABLE bbqs which haven’t been disposed of. If you get there at the right time you can experience the lesser spotted local slags in their natural environment shouting and swearing... makes it ideal for kids, of which they usually have 3 or 4

In reply to Post #116 “Perhaps the guidance needs rewording for the idiots“
You have just summed up the last 6 months there mate. The government have been up against it/them from the off and there was no winning.
There’s always been those too stupid to assess the risks themselves, those who don’t give a **** about themselves or others, those who understood the situation and felt belittled by advice below their level of intelligence and of course those who Boris could’ve allocated blow jobs from Brazilian swimwear models that would’ve managed to find fault in the technique or allocated time slots.
Government can’t govern each individual personally, we are just numbers.. it’s all about damage limitation to services and sadly careers.

In reply to Post #115 my mate Greta...
You are right though. FFS - 'I wore my mask in the shop and now I'm done with it so I'll just chuck it on the floor'
Perhaps the guidance needs rewording for the idiots. something along the lines of
'Masks must be worn in shops. Following this, if your mask is disposable - PUT IT IN A BIN YOU MUPPET'
Not as catchy as 'stay alert' but what it lacks in style it makes up for in clarity I think

I see no problem in people wearing masks to try stopping transmission in communities, doing it at this stage makes complete sense as numbers are at a level they can be monitored. Though I’m not a fan of wearing one myself so do my best to stay out of shops etc. They should’ve been mandatory from the start but we can’t turn back the clock.
The worrying thing about the situation is the amount of masks and gloves worldwide that are now laying in the streets, rivers, beaches and seas. Amazed Mal’s mate Greta hasn’t piped up about it. They’re bloody everywhere and will be for centuries!!

In reply to Post #112 The bit about the media brainwashing us into thinking it dangerous. You cant really compare infection rates of normal flu (been around for ever so therefore widely spread already) to this (been around a matter of months and killing many already). It's the long term effects that are most worrying, the life changing lung damage the main thing for me personally as an asthmatic. Your post seemed somewhat blasé to me chap that's all, and people being blasé are the main reason it's spreading and getting worse again

In reply to Post #100 Hi,
I'm not sure why you feel I'm not taking this seriously, believe me I am. My wife's astmatic, I took my kids out of school a week before we were told. I was making home made hand sanitizer .... all sorts..!
in Feb I was Scared, why wouldn't I have been with all the media doom and gloom hype flying round the globe.
I question things that's all, I don't sit back and allow media outlets to fill my head with ****. If nobody questioned the actions and decisions of our leaders we would be living in an authoritarian state. I'm honest and that's that.
I certainly havn't been in a shop without a mask - I don't agree with the masks at this stage of the Virus, like I say its a move to encourage more people to go and spend money - but I still wear one - for your sake....
I work with 2000 people on my site, we all went back to work mid-end of April ... guess how many cases.....5.
The Science has been wrong from the outset, I mean its understandable - science is science. The idea was to flatten the curve so it spread out across the summer - but luckily for everyone the Peak came much earlier than expected...its been on a downward trajectory for 12 weeks.
the figures are ****..... Why do they not tell us how many tests have been done in an area, then tell us the percentage of positive results to negative results? all they say is "due to a spike in corona cases" well that's not saying much, its worthless info...on the whole there could be a massive downward trend but its just so happened more people go out for tests so you see a spike.
Peoples mental health really worries me, some rational info with helpful positive messages is badly needed. 2 years worth of suicides in 4 months.....not great.

I flew into Gatwick this morning and noticed an unexpected advantage of mask wearing. They offer almost complete anonymity when making offensive comments to strangers!
I got two 'its supposed to cover your nose too, ****er' and one 'sit down, ********' in this morning, and their 'who said that?' looks were brilliant.
