In reply to Post #25 I have 2 with a water reservoir that is super chilled water drops in front of the fan could put ice In the water too. Not very big and have built in batteries. Takes a cup of water and that lasts a good few hours b4 needing to be topped up.

In reply to Post #1 excellent review,
Used mine last week to help dry the condensation in the bivvy before packing up, drained the power bank at the same time, so not just a summer thing.

In reply to Post #20 Yes you can use a powerbank to run it. I have Anker 26800 ones. I was using dual fan high speed, but that does eat the power then tried dual fan low speed and that was miles better with very good airflow.
Great bit of kit. Kept me nice n cool in my bivvy this year.

In reply to Post #18 Thanks for that . Got it for Christmas but at the rate we’re going I’m not sure if it’s going to get any use any time soon 🤣

In reply to Post #17 I think it's one of them things that is literal, it does state add some drops to the pad, nothing more nothing less. It just sounds too simple so we expect there to be more to it

In reply to Post #16 Thanks for that . Surprising that there are no instructions 👍

In reply to Post #13 It looks like all you do is undo the cover on the back, add the drops to the pad in the clear plastic holder / cup and then put the back on. No need to try and peel the sticker or remove the cup.
I suspect it works by the fumes from the repellant slowly seeping out of the small cover with the holes on the back and then the fan sucks the fumes out and through the fan.

|
In reply to Post #14 I thought the same . I thought that you’d have to take the sticker / card out and also the plastic cup that houses the pad . That way when you put the drops on the pad the fan would blow through it .

In reply to Post #13 Got mine today, looks great also can't work out how the insect pad works does the sticker need to be moved?
|
|
|
In reply to Post #12 Am also a bit confused re the insect repellent feature on this and is supplied with no instructions. In order to draw the citronella through the fan do you need to remove the silver sticker where the pad is housed in and also take the plastic casing out?

In reply to Post #11 There is a little bit you take off on the fan put some in and it comes out through that bud

In reply to Post #10 My mate has one and rates it highly . I had a quick look but couldn’t work out how the insect repellent part works , thanks .

I really like mine had mine since it came out last year, it takes up no room in my bag and keeps me comfortable when it’s really hot

In reply to Post #5 I’ve got mine and it’s bloody awesome for the price tag, so powerful, and numerous settings , mega power , more than enough for a bivvy , a total godsend ...I’d buy one now if your a summer time angler in a bivvy and also you get the citronella pad just add a few drops and your sorted with the midges etc....

In reply to Post #4 I've got one and it was an absolute godsend this summer.

In reply to Post #3 I've not tested on a hot day in the bivvy yet.
And it's so far only been used indoors to test.
However i will say that for it's size i was quite surprised at how well it performs.
It's never going to be as good as a 9" desk fan, but then again it's far superior to one of those typical mickey mouse little usb fans that i've tried in the past which move less air than one of my farts.
|
|
|
But in hot weather can it actually move enough air to keep you cool? Looks too small to me.

In reply to Post #1 Wow, excellent review

Ok i've only just got one of these so too early to comment on longevity.
But considering we are still in Summer (when it's not raining) then this is a product which i believe can make the bivvy a little more comfortable on warm days and nights.
These Bivvy Fans are 232mm x 50mm x 118mm and weigh 292 grams.
So not big, bulky or heavy and won't take up much space in the rucksack or carryall.
The fan has a lead with USB connector end so will work with any USB power source.
Im running mine off of an EC Technology power bank and it runs well and without issue.
This fan has twin turbines.
And you can choose to run only one of the fans or to have both fans running simultaneously.
There are also three fan speed settings to choose from, operated from a push button switch on the rear.
Power consumption stats:
Low single fan 0.4a/2w Twin fan 0.8 a/4w
Medium single fan 0.6a/3w Twin fan 1.1a/5.5w
High single fan 0.7a/3.5w Twin fan 1.4a/7w
Example battery life: 45000mAh= 35-100 hours
Working voltage: 5v
Other features: 360 degree rotating head for optimal airflow
Absorbent pad for adding insect repellant liquid
RRP: £18.99
First impressions look good
