Hi all,

We have booked pegs 18 and 19 the 2 car park swims, our other 2 mates are in 2 and 3.

Any tips for this time of year? We are fishing end of the month?

Will get a marker out and look for some spots but thanks for the info below as as starting point.

Cheers,
harveyboy

Yeah swim 17 is always avoided but that margin is brilliant. I agree 29 is a banging peg and no need for th marker as that spot between 25 and 29 is rock solid

Sounds like good advice too Rich. I've never got on with swim 17 - perhaps it is just me. 18 is my norm - 19 is seldom available. Anglers do fish 18 and then move into 19 when it comes available.

All three of these pegs produce some good fish with multiple catches, accuracy when baiting is key. Get the marker out and find a clear spot, loads of weed this time of year. Spod mix of particles, Corn and Boilies, fish all three rods within a few feet of each other. It's quite shallow at this side, between 5ft and 7ft. As for rigs don't over complicate it, a decent bottom bait rig will work.

Thanks for the advice it will help. I know I'm on one of those pegs as they are reserved and it's being filmed. Also Shaun who is filming it is disabled and it saves him carrying his kit all round the lake.

It's a prize I've won and they are making a promotional video. I've never been to linear but been told what getting a peg is like.

Prefer peg 18 as you have the humps which does a lot of fish, peg 19 you can't fish the humps as that 18s water. Peg 19 hot spot is towards Whitney point swim at 25 to 29 wraps depending on conditions. Peg 18 hot spot is 20 wraps to left hand of hump straight in front. Peg 17 massively underrated, margin to the left does a lot of carp about 14 wraps out, my mate had 4 out of there including a 41 only a few weeks ago. . I personally think browns and willow are better pegs this time of year. Willow has so many options, 17.5 wraps to middle of the w in trees, margin spot off the beach towards the margin. Go with an open mind as getting these swims isn't easy whilst it's as busy as it is. Peg 3 is also a cracker fishing 85 yards to a bar.... Fished Manor a lot over the years... I will say peg 19 does do big hits when the fish are out in front. Biggest tip I can give you is get your bait out at the start and sit on it as they travel in big shoals and hits can be had, don't spod straight after 1 bite as they shy away from it. Start with 15 I would say

Standard bottom rigs, hinge rig and multi rig. 4 or 6 hook.

19 is the best, then 18 then 17. 17 is a very narrow swim good for tench but not so much for carp.
Walk to the mound to the left of that group swims and look down on the water in front of 18, there are a few sunken islands out in front of the swims you can see better from the mound - fish seem to patrol the sunken islands. Find the islands on google earth too. You need to be around 24 wraps to hit them from swim 18. Last year there was a very big wasps nest in the woodwork at the front of swim 18.
19 is the best swim on the whole lake - if anglers get that swim they will stay there for weeks on end. Many of the big bait companies book it for weeks at a time. The right hand side fishes well close to the trees. Further out you can fish the right hand sunken island. The bigger fish on manor often come out of this swim.
Spod it well!
