going to be tricky when you limited to boilies only, how long before someoen sneaks a cheeky tiger nut on a night

On Wainstones and just about to start packing up. Had three fish and lost one, biggest 27lb. Pleased with that. My lad Tom didn’t catch and the other two blokes on had one between them.
It’s a lovely place, would definitely like to come back.

The rod I got the take on had around 20 whole 18mm boilies with around 20 more boilies crushed/crummed up. Make your own judgement on that but if I were to return for 4 nights I wouldn't bring much more that 5kg or so.

Thanks for the info mate, much appreciated. I'm expecting it to be a tricky place.

I'm guessing you didn't use much bait? I'm not sure how much to take for four nights.

Just got home, was a tough session. After speaking to Mark before the session he strongly advised keeping casting to a minimum so took his advice and boated the rigs out into some small clear spots in the weed. Had a take yesterday evening but lost it in the thick weed. Was tough going mate, there's so much weed and naturals in there, the fish really have no need to eat anglers bait. I assume Mark will also speak to you before you start your session but the general feel for it was fish for a bite at a time and keep disturbance to a minimum. Nonetheless, despite blanking, it's a beautiful venue. Hopefully you can manage to get some on the bank during your session mate!

Check out his Carp Life series on Youtube, there's a fair bit of footage on it.

No experience, but some of the pictures of captures do look stunning carp.

Making a trip up to Wainstones Pool which is Mark Pitchers's lake, for a 36 hour session this weekend.

Anyone who's fished it before got any tips/starting points for me? Bit of a long shot as I know it's only re-opened recently but worth a try
