In reply to Post #10 I suspect greed will get involved, cut out the middleman and then eventually sell direct at near the middleman prices.

In reply to Post #8 Wow nice find that even uses some of the same pics and lists the same items like magnetix storm poles
Thought the cyprinus version was overpriced, considering their prices on the M4 pram hood and their fast and light brollies seemed a much better deal than any of the typhoons

In reply to Post #6 the quality is pretty good having looked one over. built to the same standard at the trakker ones.
I know they have re-enforced the poles or are sending out collars as I think they open up or split.
I have a feeling that a lot of companies will be forced to operate like cyprinus in the future and sell direct cutting out the shops.
the thing is now a days anyone can go to china and start a brand. if you have the money to do it. you don't even need to design anything you can pretty much build a bivvy off the shelf nicking ideas from other bivvies and then bang you have your own bivvy

In reply to Post #3 I will let you know when mine turns up, I have ordered a typhoon (Ripstop version) with vapour shield, skull cap and overwrap, however I am away for 3 - 4 weeks so wont be in a position to use and provide any feedback until the end of July.
I have had most versions of the tempest bivvy and brollies over the years and more recently a Titan Hide Xl so should be able to provide some valuable feedback when I get chance to use it.

In reply to Post #2 It is, sort of, the block mechanism is different on the Typhoon, you have to plug the front arms in as apposed to the lever that flips the whole thing together on the tempest, obviously that is the bit that holds the patent.
