Again for me I have mixed feelings, he has never done anything to me and has actually been very friendly even when I messaged him saying I thought one of his views he had expressed was total c**p but I’m totally in agreement with mr Magoo he 100% has some sort of personality disorder and maybe some mental health problems he just always seems paranoid, and jittery even in the cyp interview at his house he was like it so can’t be just cos he is fishing where he shouldn’t be.

As for the poaching it’s wrong but so was the guesting back in the day it’s not for me.

One or two stories with evidence point to someone being a bit of a t**t but the amount of stories there are defo point to some sort of personality disorder, I’m gonna have my brother in law have a look at his interview he is a qualified psychologist so should be good and hilarious what he thinks of him 😂😂

However all things said he catches a lot of big carp, yeah he has said about using a lot of bait but so do a lot of the other names, saw one in a mag saying he used 45kg of particle to clear a spot then baited with 30kg of boilies!! They all do it so I won’t slag off his methods, stroke pulling happens on all lakes

Spot on, couldn't agree more. Now, can you let me know what lakes you fish please so I can come and steal the fish? And while I'm there I'll just leave all my rubbish laying around. You obviously won't mind because you're not a pathetic sheep

Not sure how true the story is but in the Conningbrook chapter everyone else is apparently pussy-footing around with single hookbaits etc trying to catch 'Two Tone', JS says he filled a spot in with 40k of particles and had it on his 2nd night there, classic if true

I hate this term "sheep" but if you want to see what it means just go and have a look at his followers on FB. It makes me cringe every time he posts something. Embarrassing to the point of hilarity.

We live in a society where you have to be a sheep speak like how your told, think what you're told to think. Jim Shelly goes against the grain and you see the pathetics come out in force. Man is a carp catching machine and upsets snowflakes. Big thumbs up for Jim from me...

You can tell who the Korda guys are on here..

I think he’s an exceptional catcher of carp and especially large ones. And in the early days he travelled from Norfolk to wraysbury to bait up and sure he was working in those days. I’m sure he has a mrs not sure on kids.

BUT, that’s where it ends for me. Poaching waters is now #carpy and loads do it, but youv got to be a special kind of stupid/arrogant to publicise it. His vids come across as jittery and avoiding the q’s wether to give air of mystery or god knows but seems he’s constantly trying to think of ways to say things without getting in trouble. Forgetting about the heavy baiting, attitude and bullying what made me think ‘dick’ was in his second book. He is doing a tuition and decides to go and fish a diff lake on the complex, comes back and matey is struggling with a fish. If I was paying the prices I would want him with me 24/7 and not wandering off on ‘my time’

Heard many many tales from ppl I trust of him trying to bully others.

TBH it’s quite clear to everybody that he obviously does not give a **** what people think about him

I have the book, he clearly states if it wasn’t for carpfishing he would not have achieved much in his life. No doubt he may have psychological problems, same as most people. Whether people like him or not that’s their choice. He has managed to earn a living out of carpfishing where thousands have failed. This thread just shows the true reflection of carpfishing too for me, lot of back biting and a lot of bitterness on both sides which is typical of a lot of waters

Ever since in have fished, fishing and stroke pulling go hand in hand, happens on nearly every water I have fished, there are always one or two, even half a dozen characters shall we say on most of the waters I have fished. Years ago as a kid I saw a famous matchman get a knee in the bollox and sparked out in the car park for fishing for a few seconds after time was called. In fact, I could write a book about what I’ve seen over the years!

I take people on face value. As long as they are straight with me, I am with them, simple.

I don’t doubt what he has been up to and I’m sure he has been on the end of it many times as I said below. What goes around comes around

Carpfishing is also full of a lot of two faced lying trouble causers too, I hate people like this myself

Great post, can I have a selfie?

If he’d have chosen the ‘ normal’ life he would have made an outstanding shop steward or traffic warden something along those lines whereas everyone thinks your a **** except other traffic wardens or shop stewards
....wasn't he a Prison Officer at one time or is that a myth?

Having recently read his first book to see what all the fuss was about, it's obvious he liked the 'White Lightening' a bit too much which helps but I always wondered if his (only?) mate Mark drowning on Wraysbury had had a big effect on him but it seems he was a massive **** before that as I even found the whole vibe of that book is 'I'm not really like the rumours let's put the record straight' so he was obviously up to his shenanigans from the start.
