In reply to Post #1 Does everyone buy the compact or the standard?

In reply to Post #1 Thanks mrj
Is that built in pillow removable?
|

|
In reply to Post #13 I find it every bit as good as it's cracked up to be, light, warm and versatile with the removable layer. I do add a trakker cover in the winter though so that does add warmth but I really use it for a waterproof layer for when I'm in and out of the bivvy in the rain.
I guess that's the only downside (except price haha) but it would be less comfortable if it had a waterproof membrane on the bag itself, just like the snugpak clothing

In reply to Post #11 Can I ask what you think of the Snugpak sleeping bag?

In reply to Post #11 Been looking at these my self I have a rlx flat 6 at the minute had this for around 5 years . Does anyone suffer with a bad lower back and has the tactical x bedchair helped in anyway . Thanks

In reply to Post #1 Thanks for the review, it helped me to choose wisely
I have bought a wychwood tactical x compact mostly due to the weight and if anyone else is doing the same here is some info:
Tactical x bedchair (compact) 7.8kg
Thermarest women's trail lite air mattress 0.8kg
Snugpak techlite compact 2.8kg
Total weight about 11.4kg... plus a pillow...
Paid £130 on ebay, cheapest I could find now
It has a better leg mechanism, better mattress and a bit nicer material than the cyprinus version of the old wychwood that came before this one.
Techlite compact is a perfect fit

The thermarest mentioned above is a nice thickness to flatten out the built in pillow at the top

In reply to Post #1 I too bought the bed on Gerrys recommendation (amongst many other things) and it is by far the best bed I have used. Work close to Poingdestres so popped in and they did the bed for £107 earning a new customer in the process as they were so helpful. I too was surprised by the length of the bed though; longer than expected and only just gets under my brolly. It is very light weight considering its size and would highly recommend 👌

In reply to Post #1 I've been using the standard X on the advice of Old Geezer with added SIM . . .great advice - love it.
Comfort and price beats any bedchair I've had to date . . .good bit of kit. Only mild niggle is footprint size - on 'ye olde' bedchair scale its big (215cms long) for a standard IMO . . .
