Cheap Chinese efforts. It doesn't matter if you drop them in the lake, tread on them or throw them in temper.

I once imported a thousand and sold them on ebay. The robbing swines at Southampton docks helped themselves to quite a few before I took delivery.

Petzel Tikka, if they still make them, had mine for years, battery life is brilliant, not carp crap, proper job

I'd go with the Ridgemonkey too. Great torch. On the head any way you like in the middle of the night and there's an on/off switch. I know it's expensive but it works for me.

The reason I remain faithful to my Zipka is the elastic. I wear it like a watch so it's always to hand when I need it

I had one of those LED lenser things with the battery pack strapped to the back of your head. Never used it so it went on ebay.

I think Petzl were the go to headtorches for years definitely at the time about the best

but now things have moved on been some great improvements everyone that knows me knows I am/was addicted to buying head torches lol had most on the market at one time or another incl
Snap-On, 3 different model Petzl, Fennex, couple of LedLensers,3 different Energiser`s 2 models of Coleman loads of Ebay Chinese ones just a few that spring to mind probably fill a baitbucket

Every one thinks the headtorch they use is the best I did too

until Keebs put me onto the Nitecore NU25 Now I KNOW its the best

I've had the older version of this for years, has the flip down red lense. Pretty bomb proof. The switch was starting to get a little temperamental, hence the change to the Nitecore last year, but it's still in my bag as back up
