In reply to Post #1 Used fox reflex camo for my bag work, never had any complaints, find it supple enough and a good knot strength

In reply to Post #8 I have used it with various scissors and it does exactly the same. Its the worst braid I have used for it and it also fades in water and goes a horrible grey colour

In reply to Post #1 Angling Iron Gravit8 is a lead free heavy braid, im really impressed by. Super soft and sinks like a brick.

In reply to Post #11 I have the gardner scissors and they are excellent. Do not use them on anything but braid. Use other scissors for other materials and keep your braid scissors razor sharp.

In reply to Post #8 probably more to do with your scissors than the braid. A nice clean cut and a drop of spit on the end and it should thread fine.

In reply to Post #1 I have been trying to use Kordas dark mater offering, and whilst it is undoubtedly heavy it is a pain to re-thread through small hook eye when using a knotless knot, it just bunches up.
Going to give the esp anchor braid a whirl.

In reply to Post #1 Nash Armourlink, it is quite thick so you may struggle to knotless knot it with smaller hooks but it works a treat.

In reply to Post #1 Korda Supernatural and for a heavy sinking braid Korda dark matter. Merlin if you can still get it. You'll find a number of soft uncoated braids from all big names. These are the ones I'm happy with.

Can anyone recommend a good supple braid for pva and mesh bag work.
Bought the ntrap soft but it’s still stiff even when the coating is stripped.
Ideally something that sinks well if there is such a thing as a heavy supple uncoated braid
