Got a pair of fx9s
Can’t fault them apart from the line occasionally getting under the spool.
I have found them too big though for my 10ft extractor. So looking at getting some kind of Baitrunner 4000 size. 99% of my fishing is up to 50m if that

In reply to Post #1 Fx9 is still on the fox website,I would be surprised if its discontinued.

In reply to Post #1 I've owned both. Still have my fx9s which are now on pace compacts. Both are great reels I would recommend the fx11s for the rods you own.

Hello,
Getting back into carp fishing this summer, looking to swap out my XT RB's for some smallish big pit reels just to have some more cranking power.
majority of my fishing will be on a small lake ( the fish tend to kite a lot hence the want for pits ) , occasional trip to a larger lake and possibly even a trip abroad every now and again ( will not be fishing huge lakes )
Looking to pair something up with my Free Spirit 3.25 rods - they only have 40mm Butt Rings and ideally didn't want to replace the rods ..
So FX 9 or FX 11 ? those of you that have seen both / used either - what would you choose ? unfortunately no tackle shops near me stock either ( I know FX9 no longer made but there are still some about online )
Thanks
