Has anyone ever rented any lake side accommodation before? Are there properties/accommodations very near the lake that are rented or holiday homes etc? Was hoping to rent somewhere for 3-4 weeks in 2022 if we are over all of this by then 🤷‍♂️

It's being night fished all the time especially in the summer and as blatant as you like so not sure the guards are checking these days, especially German and Austrian cars and vans with fox plasterered over them parked for days and nights at a time in view of everyone

The regional garde du peche can take your gear and even confiscate your car.

You get to go home with no fishing tackle and a big fine.
Depending on the french police at the time, and Brexit feelings and the prison cell you may end up in.... worth the risk ?

Stick to days only

See, this is why we have a bad rep in France. If it's not Kent lake owners nicking very large public lake commons for their own lakes, they're taking the piss out of the rules and monetising from it. Thing is, people are scared to publically call them out on it as they get branded "jealous" or "haters" for doing so.
