In reply to Post #4 Looked into these as well, and what I found was that if your not paying £200 + , the cheaper ones all have their faults with reliability , and misleading picture quality , it really is difficult buying a good one .

What ones did you boys get?
I’m looking at getting one to see the wildlife in the garden, I think the one I’m looking at is a Campark Wi-fi 20mp 1296 trail game camera and is about £80 on Amazon. The reviews seem ok but I haven’t a clue what it does and if it’s any good.

In reply to Post #2 Managed to get mine working last in the garden. It seems to work good in the day and night. But didn't realize I'd still it on time lapse. So I think I used the memory up on a 32 gig memory card. Bloody 2500 pics on it. But think between me and my dad we are getting there with it lol. Wasn't and expensive one about £50 for the camera the half decent memory card to go with it.

In reply to Post #1 I've used them to check on the hedgehog feeding box. My first one died and I've just got a replacement which has more choices and a screen for option menus etc. But I dare say that different models vary a fair bit.
I set mine up to take stills and video but you would want just still images. If you have bought one of the cheap models (like mine) some come with issues and it may be defective. Good luck, I hope you sort it out.

I not long ago brought a trail camera. Been trying to set it to just take photos. Been threw the instructions. Be but seems hard work to set up. My dad's pritty good with camera s and he has just had a go at setting it up. Not shore if it's working. Just put it in the garden. To see if can get photos of the birds. Going to leave it on tonight to try get pictures of the fox's. Do any of you guys use them ? And do you find them easy to set up and use ?
