Yes and from what I hear he is doing a great job. As is Warren on the Big Lake. But they can’t bring the complex as a whole back to its glory days (unless they get hold of all the lakes!).

If you were there in the LSA/ RMC day’s then don’t go, just keep your memories.

If you were thereafter it was sold then might be worth a visit as they are doing their best to bring the Tip and Big Lakes back to their former glory.

In my eyes the rest of the complex is ruined.

Has Darenth changed much since the 1990's? I've not been since they dug more holes than was originally there. I was looking for the Tree Lake and found that had been renamed, but am interested in having a go at the Long Lake for some nostalgia.

Good luck, had a few out of there. Mid double was biggest I managed. Can’t remember the spots. Mid of far bank, fishing towards big lake. Mid part of lake. Was 10 years plus.
They do evening tickets, need to see if with social distancing they want mobile angling. The complex is on my list to try again as I’ve not managed to find a home for this season.

Long lake apparently has cats to 100lbs, carp into the late 30s
The big lake is members only. Its all fenced off all the gates are padlocked. They even have their own car park which is also fenced and padlocked
The big lake has carp to 50lbs
I emailed the lakes in the wk asking if I could look around, and I got a reply saying yes
But when walking around Steve's Lake I came across a bailiff, and he said are you public or are you fishing. I said I was just looking around, he said only fisherman here at the moment. He said normally we don't mind people looking around, but not at these times. I told him I emailed them to ask and they said yes. He said whoever that was shouldn't of said that. I thought that's fair enough really.
By time I came across the bailiff I'd seen quite a few of the lake's anyway. So I'd seen enough to make my mind up

Fish it years ago, back in the day. Familiar with the syndicate/member lakes from back then. Not fished Long Lake for 10 years. Now a Cat lake, holds carp, need someone who has fished it recently. I’m interested to know also, as I’m looking for places to fish. Keep us updated on your Darenth day ticket findings. Look on you tube, a lad posts vlogs on Darenth, maybe a few years old now.

Did you go in the end? What did you think?
Only ever seen reviews online (which were negative towards the owners) but I imagine the reality may not be quite as bad as the internet implies...
