Have you thought about braid? It's optimum for both imo. I use Power Pro.

Another vote for the Gardner HD floater line.
I think the fox zig and floater the other chap is referring to is hooklink not mainline.
Edit - unless did you mean hooklink???

I use Fox zig n floater line. Cant give you much else as thats all ive used. Its strong and reliable never cost me a fish so why use anythin else (from my prespective)!...
